L’APERITIVO & SUONO
L’aperitivo is a bar centred around the Italian tradition of the aperitivo, the ritual of meeting in the early evening to relax over a drink before dinner. Beneath the bar sits Suono, a low-lit, Japanese-inspired listening space built around carefully curated sound.
The intention of the work was to visually communicate that experience, not just how the spaces look, but how they feel to spend time in.
Photography focused on capturing the character of both spaces through light, texture and detail. This included documenting drinks as they are served and enjoyed, as well as the ambient qualities of each environment.
Rather than staged interiors, the work centred on mood and presence: low light, reflective surfaces, small moments and the relationship between people, sound and space. The aim was to reflect the pace of the aperitivo ritual and the considered calm of the listening room, allowing each space to retain its distinct identity while remaining connected.
