Withins Residential Home is a residential care home in Bolton, supporting residents with individual needs in a setting built around care, companionship and daily activities. The brief was to create photography and video for the website that introduced the home, its people and the care experience to prospective residents and their families.
Using a documentary approach, I captured everyday life at the home without disrupting established routines. The project included two B-roll-led website banner videos, alongside two case study films featuring a staff member, a resident and volunteer. A catalogue of photography was produced along with this for use throughout the website, capturing the people, activities and environment that make the home distinctive.
The outcome was a collection of photography and video designed to give prospective residents and their families a more personal understanding of life at Withins, highlighting the people behind the care and the individuality of the residents.

A resident case study offering families a personal insight into life at the home. Featuring interviews with a resident and their family, the video explores their experience of living at Withins, alongside a volunteer physiotherapist discussing the role of exercise and physical activity in supporting residents' wellbeing. The film helps prospective residents and their families understand the home's approach to care, community and keeping residents active.
