CLUB LOVE

The work focuses on supporters rather than the game itself, the people who return week after week, season after season. It follows match days, time spent waiting, moments of celebration and grief, and the rituals that sit around football rather than on the pitch.

Across changes in players, managers and results, the same behaviours repeat. Scarves are worn, songs are sung, hands are held. Football becomes a shared reference point, a way of recognising one another and belonging to something larger than the individual, not unlike a religion or cult.

The photographs are made instinctively, within crowds and close proximity. They stay with the emotional texture of support: devotion, habit, care and release. Less about spectacle, more about what it feels like to be there.
