COLLECTIVE ACTION
Protests see the converge of collective emotion, identity and human resilience. They are spaces and moments where identity is openly expressed, obscured and reshaped, while gestures, movement and presence reveal tension and shared purpose.
These gatherings reflect the interplay of fear, solidarity and courage, displaying how an individual will navigate risk and join collective action. This is often driven by shared identity, moral commitment and the awareness of “Other”.
Protests unfold in dynamic and non-linear patterns, with small actions cascading into larger mobilisations, revealing the thresholds and relational forces that underline collective behaviour and societal norms.
The project aims to capture the fluid dynamics of collective action and the undercurrents that drive people to mobilise together.
